Even today, the Middle Ages has a bad reputation for hygiene and body care, we talk about a filthy society with questionable hygiene! The reality is quite different!

Since ancient times, we have known "baths", "ovens" and latrines. "The Queen's Baths" in Guémené-sur-Scorff, a medieval oven built around 1380 by Jean Ier de Rohan, has all the characteristics of the sauna and hammam.

Added bonus: a walking tour to discover the restored remains of the castle and a film on urban hygiene, domestic and body care in the Middle Ages.
